The client was a general contractor. This was a new construction project, the architectural design of a single-family house. We were called in to come up with new design ideas. They had a preconceived notion about the layout of the space and already had plans drafted which they were unhappy with. The client brought us in and we were able to propose different alternatives. After a series of on-site meetings, we achieved a great floor plan and façade in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The design process was an enjoyable experience for both parties. The client was excited about the idea generation phase and they trusted our design judgment. We appreciated the freedom this afforded us.
